Let dates soak for 15 minutes in warm water 15 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Equipment

  • Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 15 medjool dates
  • 1/3 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • If your dates still have pits (seeds), remove the pits from the dates. Simply make a small incision along one side and pop out the pit.
  • Place the pitted dates in a bowl and cover them with warm water. Let them soak for about 30 minutes to soften.
  • Transfer the soaked dates to a blender or food processor. Blend until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. You may need to scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
  • Assess the consistency of your date paste. Add more milk if needed to achieve your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the date paste to a jar or airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Use it as a natural sweetener in various recipes.

Notes

I used cashew milk due to its creamy consistency, but feel free to use oat or almond milk.
