Healthy Avocado Toast

In just under 5 minutes, you can whip up a satisfying avocado toast that not only caters to your taste buds but also fits seamlessly into your busy morning routine.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 large avocado
  • 2 slices sprouted bread I prefer Ezekiel bread (Daniel Fast approved)
  • 2-3 slices large tomato
  • 1/2 lime (juice)
  • To taste sea salt, pepper, red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.
  • Cut the ripe avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop the avocado flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until you achieve your preferred level of creaminess. You can leave it slightly chunky or go for a smoother texture.Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the mashed avocado.
  • Take the toasted bread slices and spread the mashed avocado evenly over each slice.
  • Place the thinly sliced tomatoes on top of the mashed avocado, covering the entire surface of the toast. Sprinkle a bit more salt and pepper over the sliced tomatoes.

Optional Toppings

  • If desired, add optional toppings such as red pepper flakes for some heat, a drizzle of olive oil for extra richness, or a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added freshness.

Notes

If you're not participating in the Daniel Fast, please feel free to use your preferred bread. I find that it tastes better using wheat based bread, my favorite is seeded bread from Aldi or Ezekiel.
